Kevin Spacey's Criminal Case in Nantucket Gets Dismissed

Little has said he took a smartphone video of the incident, which he says took place when he was an 18-year-old busboy in the bar and restaurant. "After a further period of reflection privately with his lawyer, the complaining witness elected not to waive his right under the Fifth Amendment". One, a defendant can not be convicted on the uncorroborated testimony of an immunized witness.

In the case of Nantucket in December, prosecutors prosecuted Spacey.

If this was the only allegation Spacey faced, then the contradictory statements and potential manipulation of evidence would lead to the conclusion that a dismissal had exonerated Spacey.

In his own statement, the accuser's attorney Mitchell Garabedian said "my client and his family have shown an enormous amount of courage under hard circumstances".

Mitchell Garabedian, lawyer for the accuser, said the case was dropped because the accuser was on an "emotional rollercoaster". Unruh did not respond to a message left for her.

Meanwhile, the alleged victim also recently dropped a civil lawsuit against the actor. Spacey then unzipped the accuser's trousers and rubbed his penis, both in and out of his trousers, for about three minutes, he told police.

Spacey had pleaded not guilty to a felony charge of indecent assault and battery, which was filed past year.

Spacey has always denied the allegations. That isn't the only allegation against Spacey, though; now, police in both Los Angeles and in London are investigating allegations of sexual assault. The defense argued the phone would provide evidence of Spacey's innocence. The actor's attorney Alan Jackson accused the young man of deleting texts that reportedly undermined his case, and doctoring screenshots of texts.

Prime Day just started early with so many insane deals
For example, one current bundle pairs an Echo (2nd gen) with a free six-month subscription to Amazon Music Unlimited for $49.99. Those are our recommended deals on Amazon devices that are available right now, but there are more beyond that.

The man invoked his Fifth Amendment rights during a hearing earlier this month concerning the whereabouts of his phone, which was missing. He said that he fled when Spacey went to the bathroom.

The judge gave the prosecutors time to decide how they would like to proceed. The family said they never received it.

The dropped charges development comes days after Spacey's accuser refused to testify on the matter, instead pleading the fifth during a July 8 court hearing. They've insisted that the case was not dropped due to a settlement.

In court last week, Jackson said the case against his client was dead.

The accuser, who has a different last name than Unruh, is named in legal filings.

One of Hollywood's most famous and recognizable actors, Spacey's career collapsed in November 2017 following several allegations of sexual assault and harassment.

Shortly after Spacey was charged late a year ago, he posted a freakish video to YouTube, appearing in the guise of Frank Underwood, his Machiavellian US president from House Of Cards, saying: "I'm certainly not going to pay the price for the thing I didn't do".
