100 children moved back to controversial Clint, Texas, border facility

The relocation of 250 migrant children from an overcrowded Texas border patrol station, where they were held for weeks in squalid conditions without adequate food and water, has stepped up criticism from immigration activists and Democrats of Republican President Donald Trump's hardline immigration policies.

An official from U.S. Customs and Border Protection said Tuesday that the "majority" of the roughly 300 children detained at Clint, Texas, last week have been placed in facilities operated by the Office of Refugee Resettlement. Another administration official said Sanders' resignation was not tied to the recent allegations of neglect at a Border Patrol facility in Clint, Texas. Some had been locked for three weeks inside the facility, where 15 children were sick with the flu and another 10 were in medical quarantine.

More than 100 migrant children have been returned to a Texas border station just a day after being moved out, a USA border official has confirmed.
