Emilia Clarke reveals how she would change the Game of Thrones finale

It's not surprising to see poor reviews for the final three Game of Thrones episodes, and hear that over 1.2 million people penned a petition for HBO to redo season 8 with "competent writers" in just a matter of days.

"It took me a long time to actually digest the story line this season and the final episode", she at the GoT junket in April.

"Well, I can only speak to my own character, and the people that I interact with on the show". She's our saviour, Mhysa.' It's been attractive and incredible, but I've been looking over my shoulder the entire time while everyone else gets a more human-for want of a better word-story line.

"Because I know how much work was put into this".

I would've loved some more scenes between Grey Worm and Missandei. But I would just like a bit more time between Game of Thrones being cold in the ground before something else comes along. I feel like there was. The genocide was there.

Not everyone is going to love or agree with D.B. Weiss and David Benioff's ultimate trajectory, however, and in his interview with EW that happened before the premiere aired, Kit Harington seemed to recognize people's opinions were going to be all over the board.

"Best season ever!" Clarke sarcastically replied when ET asked her in September 2018 if she was happy with how things concluded - seemingly alluding to Dany's big twist.

Clarke says that justifying Daenerys's actions wasn't easy.

Following the divisive Game of Thrones ending on Sunday night, when fans saw Snow kill the love of his life to defend Westeros and Bran the Broken become King of the Six Kingdoms, Kit Harington said he didn't care whether or not critics would disapprove of or like the show's highly anticipated series finale. "And now our watch has ended", she wrote as she ended the post.
