Vikings take Garrett Bradbury with No. 18 pick in NFL Draft

There are still a lot of good players left on the draft board and many who would provide huge value at pick 50 to the Vikings in the second round.

The Minnesota Vikings selected North Carolina State center Garrett Bradbury with the 18th overall pick in the National Football League draft on Thursday night, using their first-rounder on an offensive lineman for the first time in seven years. But the three teams in front of the Vikings did not take an offensive lineman, and that meant Minnesota's options included standout tackles Andre Dillard of Washington State and Tytus Howard of Alabama State.

Considered the top interior offensive line prospect in the draft, Bradbury bolsters a position that has plagued the Vikings the past few seasons.

The Giants have been repeatedly connected to Rosen this offseason and that appears likely continue deep into the NFL Draft itself whether the Cardinals draft Murray or not. All 6-3, 300-plus pounds of him. This guy has all pro ability up front. Defensive end, where Texas' Charles Omenihu and Texas A&M's Kingsley Keke could be fits, is also a potential need for the Vikings.

Israel's Netanyahu wants to name Golan settlement after Trump
In December 2017, Trump officially recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital, along with plans to move the embassy to Jerusalem. Another person suggested Netanyahu call the town " La Brea ", after the famous tar pits in California.

The Vikings entered the draft with less than $2 million in salary cap space, according to NFL Players Association records, and could benefit from moving Rudolph's $7.625 million salary. That was the first draft with Spielman as the final decision-maker. The Vikings surprised many by selecting cornerback Mike Hughes with the 30th pick in the first round. Regardless, the Vikings are now looking at an improved offensive line personnel-wise. He selected left tackle Matt Kalil with the fourth-overall pick that year. It's also the second straight year the reigning Heisman victor went No. 1 overall, following Cleveland's pick of Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield last year.

At least one Minnesota Viking fan was quite pleased with his squad's first round pick tonight.

They went with Bradbury and the expectation is he will step in as the starting center from day one.
