Rockets close out series, Clippers refuse to quit

Los Angeles Clippers' shooting percentage, that resulted in part from the Golden State Warriors' sub-par defence.

The Golden State Warriors opened the 2018-19 Playoffs as -20000 favorites to win their Western Conference Quarterfinals against the Los Angeles Clippers, but the Clippers have managed to force Game 6 Thursday at Staples Center with tip-off scheduled for 10 p.m.

The Warriors were denied a potential four-game sweep when the Clippers mounted a historic rally from a 31-point deficit to win Game 2 in Oakland.

Houston won the season series 3-1 this season, with Paul's best performance coming in a 118-112 Rockets victory on February 23.

"From the beginning of the season, playoffs, training camp, we're self-motivated", Clippers guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander said.

"Build from this game?"

It is the first time the Warriors have lost a Game 5 at home since the 2016 NBA Finals against eventual champions Cleveland Cavaliers, leaving Kerr bemoaning a lacklustre showing from his men.

A Warriors win would have secured a 4-1 series victory and ensured their place in the Western Conference semi-final against the Houston Rockets. But after they were blown out on the road, the Rockets could not find a way to take down the basketball juggernaut in a home game seven and saw their season come to an end.

Curry added: "It's one of those nights that we've got to erase from our memory quick".

"I'm confident, as I was when we were 11-14, that we'll give them a run..."

The Warriors now are 1 in the postseason in scoring with 123.6 points per game. He took part in the film session and will be around, but Kerr reiterated "at this point, conservatively, I would say it's highly unlikely he would play" the remainder of the postseason. "They just didn't let up".

The Rockets don't intend to disrespect the Clippers with their travel plans.

The Kings and the league said they will be looking into the accusations from a lawsuit filed earlier in this week in Los Angeles by former sportscaster Kelli Tennant. Patrick Beverley crashed the boards at every chance.

"He goes into these meetings, whether it's those guys did in the Hamptons or Boston bringing Tom Brady". "That was our team today".

But Williams drained a three-pointer and forced a foul for a four-point play and the Clippers were suddenly back in front at 121-118. "They're up 3-2 still", Rivers said. We kept attacking, we kept running.

For his part, Warriors coach Steve Kerr heaped praise upon the Clippers, describing them as "a hell of a team" that won 48 games in the regular season.
