Facebook down for some users

Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram are experiencing server outage issues.

The cause of today's outage is unknown.

Every week, the most popular apps and social media platforms get updated.

Furthermore, the person who the lost one previously designated as their Facebook "legacy contact" now has more control over their loved one's profile. More than 4,000 Instagram users and 6,000 WhatsApp users have reported issues.

As per Downdetector.com, the website which monitors site outages, showed that Facebook has been having issues since 3:58 pm IST globally.

Social media users attempting to use Facebook, Whatsapp or Instagram reported issues logging on and accessing the apps and browsers on Sunday morning.

"Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp are down". The monitoring website's outage map indicated that the blacked was extensively experienced by the users in Asia and Europe.

Forty-seven percent of problems reported by Instagram users were related to the news feed as well, while nearly 30 percent of the users could not access their pages, and another 22 percent experienced problems with the Instagram website. "The issue has since been resolved; we're sorry for any inconvenience", a Facebook spokesperson said.

The downtime also meant people could not access Facebook Messenger.

Facebook responded on Twitter after people had noticed the outage.
