Accessed through an all-new Apple TV app, the service will give users access to original shows, movies and documentaries from some of the world's biggest names, including Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Octavia Spencer, J.J. Apple is launching a new service called Apple TV+ with a focus on high-quality original shows. Going forward for users with up-to-date devices, the News widget will open into the Apple News app rather than loading web pages. Still, at least in this case, Apple's incentives and publishers' incentives are generally aligned, which was not always the case in partnerships with Google or Facebook. Facebook, for instance, might target ads based on your past reading of specific publications or topics, such as gun control or the environment. The new Apple AirPods is powered by the new H1 chip which offers faster wireless connectivity and better battery life.

Publishers have struggled over the past few years as the targeted ad platforms of Google and Facebook have taken away numerous ad dollars that would normally be spent on advertising in magazines or on content websites.
