Zinedine Zidane hands Roman Abramovich his conditions over Chelsea role

Since the Frenchman left reigning European League champions Real Madrid, he has been out of job although he was linked with Manchester United before the club hired Ole Solskjaer.

Zidane is now out of work, and it is not clear whether he has any intentions to return to the dugout, but The Sun are claiming he would he take the Chelsea hotseat if they were to meet his demands.

And Chelsea's top brass will make Zidane, who won the last three Champions Leagues, their main target if that is what materialises.

If he were to succeed under-pressure Maurizio Sarri, Zidane has a three-part wishlist: New bumper deal for superstar playmaker Eden Hazard, keeping the Belgian to build a team around as well as £200m to improve the squad - more if he sells players who are now at Stamford Bridge but are out of favour.

The 6-0 defeat to Manchester City was a sizeable black mark on Sarri's report card, and according to AS, Chelsea have already sounded out Zinedine Zidane.

Chelsea will play against Manchester United in the FA Cup on Monday evening at the Stamford Bridge and have a date with Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, the two matches is a defining moment.

But if Zinedine Zidane is really serious about taking a job at Chelsea then the Blues can surely use this news as bait to tie Eden Hazard down.

Zidane is said to have demanded assurances that Eden Hazard will remain at the club, despite links of a move to the Santiago Bernabeu - whilst the Frenchman is said to have demanded a transfer kitty of £200m to boost the current squad.
