Vivo Apex 2019 announced with Snapdragon 855, 12GB RAM, full-screen fingerprint

It is powered by the Snapdragon 855 processor an comes with either 128GB or 256GB storage and 12GB RAM. We've already seen a teaser suggesting the phone will have a notch-less and bezel-less display, but a new leak and render is now hinting the Vivo Apex 2019 will also do away with all ports and buttons too. There are no physical buttons or ports found on the Apex 2019. Vivo will continue to explore the future of the smartphone as part of its commitment to provide users with a futuristic mobile user experience.

USB ports are replaced by a MagPort, a magnetic power connector which enables both charging and data transfer.

"In 2018, we pioneered the #ElevatingFrontCamera with our #APEX concept phone at #MWC".

Vivo announced today at a press conference in Beijing the launch of the new APEX 2019 concept smartphone.

Microsoft Advises Windows 10 Users To Choose Android Or iOS Instead
And Office 365 users likely own Windows 10 or macOS computers; therefore they already own an operating system. The browser allows users to share websites, apps, photos and other information between phones and Windows PC.

Third up, Vivo's ongoing shrinking of the bezel - which is at its most in the NEX Dual Display - continues to up the screen-to-body ratio, the Apex 2019 having virtually no bezel at all. That's an interesting choice, seeing as how selfie cameras are supposed to be a big deal in China and the fact Vivo has made headlines for its pop-up camera systems in the past.

While there's no word on whether Vivo Apex 2019 would ever be commercially available, but don't lose hope. It's also a 5G phone, which means most people won't be getting very much out of it anyway. Packed with cutting-edge technologies and features, APEX 2019 showcases a brand-new minimalist concept that takes smartphone design to a whole new level. Just last week, Oppo and Xiaomi talked about possibly featuring a large-area in-display fingerprint reader in their upcoming phones, but if Vivo's claim is to be trusted, it appears that the APEX 2019 may be one step ahead of the game. It's also eSIM-only, and there's no front camera. Not only is it odd that it didn't provide any information about the dual rear module, but it didn't even mention the fact that there is no front camera. The rear camera is also inset into the rear of the device making for a flush back of the phone - no camera bump here. Vivo solves this problem by, well, allowing you to unlock the phone by pressing (almost) anywhere on the screen.

APEX 2019 comes equipped with Full-Display Fingerprint Scanning technology, with a sensor covering nearly the entire display. Stay tuned for more update.
