Touch of magic from Aaron Ramsey helps Arsenal thrash Fulham

Arsenal have moved up into third spot and have increased their winning run to nine games.

Supersub Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made Premier League history as Arsenal beat Fulham 5-1 away in the Premier League on Saturday, and has lauded the Gunners' mentality after their win.

There were goals aplenty at Craven Cottage, where 27-year-old Ramsey began and ended a wonderful free-flowing move to score Arsenal's third just 39 seconds after coming on as a 67th-minute substitute.

But because Ramsey now looks set to leave Arsenal in January, there was greater significance about Emery's decision to leave him out against Fulham.

"You need to feel together with the supporters and the players".

Newly-promoted Fulham have now lost five of their eight matches in the Premier League. "We knew Fulham play good football and play with a lot of counters, but I think the team played well".

He's very young. This is his first experience at this level but he was playing in Italy at a very high level and against big teams with his national team. We are moving up the table little by little, giving us a better position for our objectives.

"He played in the middle, on the right and his performance is the same".

Every global break is important also for the national team, for the players who want to join up with their team and defend their team, and for us to continue working with more calm.

Arsenal now have a 15-day rest before they resume league duties at home to Leicester City on October 22, three days before they head to Sporting CP in the Europa League.

"They've been in poor form at the moment Fulham but I was here recently, they played Watford, and definitely the crowd helped them get back into that one and get an equaliser".
