Royal watchers slam Duchess of Cambridge over Alexander McQueen 'prom dress'

Kensington Palace later confirmed it was Queen Alexandra's Wedding Necklace.

The Duchess of Cambridge may not be Queen Kate just yet, but her formal Alexander McQueen outfit (plus, that tiara) last night could've fooled us.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge was slammed on social media for her evening gown during a state banquet at Buckingham Palace on October 23, 2018.

According to Majesty magazine, Kate's family order is different to previous examples, because it is not made of ivory.

'By the time my daughter Charlotte was born, the numbers had crashed to just 350,000. She looks like a queen now because she looks utterly comfortable wearing the trappings. Kate was also wearing, as widely expected, the Queen Mary Lover's Knot Tiara.

Dancefloor Collapses At Clemson Party
Thirty people were hurt after a floor collapsed during a house party early Sunday. I can tell you there was a floor collapse. "Nobody was trapped", he said.

The Duchess of Cambridge also wore Diana's favorite Collingwood diamond and pearl drop earrings and a spectacular necklace borrowed from the Queen Elizabeth's collection of pearls and diamonds.

The duchess wore the glittering diamond and pearl tiara at the Buckingham Palace state dinner on Tuesday night with an Alexander McQueen gown.

The mom of three walked alongside Rear Admiral Ludger Brummelaar, while husband Prince William accompanied British Prime Minister Theresa May.

She paired the shimmering garment with a tiara that was made iconic by another princess before her: Diana, Princess of Wales, who loved the Cambridge Lover's Knot Tiara above all the others available to her during her time as a royal. It was originally designed for Queen Mary and was eventually passed down to Queen Elizabeth, who often loaned it to Princess Diana. And one thing that's come across in the previous year or so of appearances is a newfound stature and confidence in her role, something Meghan doesn't have yet, for very obvious and understandable reasons.

It's thought that the queen bestowed the order on Kate in December a year ago.
