Dancefloor Collapses At Clemson Party

Tal Slann, property management president at Woodland's, told CNN that the floor came through as dozens of party goers danced "in unison".

Dozens of revelers were injured early Sunday when the floor collapsed beneath them at a SC college party.

"Clemson officials were notified early Sunday morning of an incident at the Woodlands Apartments in the City of Clemson".

Some 30 people were taken to three area hospitals, ABC news reported.

The clubhouse had been leased for a private party. Details on the extent of the injuries were not immediately available.

Thirty people were hurt after a floor collapsed during a house party early Sunday.

As a crowded group of Clemson University students and local residents danced and jumped around at an apartment clubhouse, Jeremy Tester felt something unusual beneath his feet.

'Everyone was on the floor and people were screaming and there was wood sticking up from the floorboards'. "I can tell you there was a party".

Dixon said there is no knowledge of any life threatening injuries. I can tell you there was a floor collapse. "Nobody was trapped", he said.

The clubhouse building where the collapse happened is a common area within the complex. "Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who were injured and we apologize for any inconvenience". Police are investigating the matter.
