Rose McGowan Challenges Asia Argento to 'Be Better' Than Harvey Weinstein

It is noted that Asia Argento will appear only in the first seven editions of the show, shot in the summer of 2018, is dedicated to the selection of finalists of the "X-factor".

The producers - Sky Italia and FremantleMedia - have made a decision to remove the actor from live portion of the talent show, which will air on September 6.

But, McGowan stresses, the nature of their relationship changed when McGowan's partner, Rain Dove, showed her incriminating texts between themselves and Argento, where Argento reveals that she had in fact slept with actor Jimmy Bennett in 2013 when he was 17 years old, and she was 37.

Bennett has made the claims that in May 2013 he met Argento at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Marina Del Rey, California where she allegedly gave him alcohol and had sex with him.

McGowan and Argento were among the first women in Hollywood to publicly accuse Weinstein for years of sexual misconduct and harassment in The New York Times last year.

In a plea to Argento to simply "do the right thing", she said: "Be the person you wish Harvey could have been".

Rose McGowan further distanced herself from Asia Argento in the wake of sexual assault allegations waged against the actress-director.

Prime Minister May in response welcomed the assurance by the Nigerian government on credible elections in 2019. It made the plea on Tuesday in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan.

McGowan released her statement a few days after the celebrity news website TMZ published screenshots of what it said was a text-message conversation between Argento and a person the website called "a friend". McGowan's initial response to Bennett's accusations, published in the New York Times on August 19, was to tweet her shock and hope that people would be "gentle" with Argento.

Argento and McGowan forged a friendship a year ago after they both publicly came forward accusing film mogul Harvey Weinstein of sexually assaulting them early in their careers. It's sad to lose a friend connection, but what's even more sad is what happened to Jimmy Bennet. The age of consent in California is 18. I had to take a step back and realise that in my own activism while I fight hard with passion- I need to evolve.

Anthony then said that she kept records and diary entries, which will corroborate her allegations against Weinstein.

She said rather than facing a court battle at a time when she was already dealing with a public case, Bourdain, chose to pay off Bennett.

A growing number of Italians had taken to social media demanding that Argento be pulled from the show.

On Monday, McGowan said she is not "affiliated with this incident or being complicit", adding: "There absolutely should be no leeway or tolerance for sexual assault".
