Redskins sign former Vikings star Adrian Peterson

He is a seven-time Pro Bowl RB and four-time All-Pro.

- Running back Adrian Peterson has signed with the Washington Redskins, according to Fox Sports.

The Redskins certainly are in need of some help after second-round pick Derrius Guice tore his ACL during Week 1 of the preseason, sidelining him for the entire 2018 campaign.

Adrian Peterson has found a home just a few weeks shy of the 2018 National Football League season. But after just three more games, he suffered a season-ending neck injury that also cast his playing future into doubt.

Washington has been dealing with injuries at the running back position and was looking to add depth.

Mr Vajpayee , the BJP's tallest leader, was admitted to hospital on June 11 with a kidney tract infection and chest congestion. He had suffered a stroke in 2009, which reportedly weakened his cognitive abilities, following which he developed dementia.

Besides Peterson, the Redskins are known to have hosted veterans Orleans Darkwa for a workout and Jamaal Charles for a visit. Coach Jay Gruden had hoped running backs Samaje Perine and Byron Marshall would be the answer, but both also sustained leg injuries in the exhibition game against the Jets on Thursday.

Peterson ranks 12th on the NFL's all-time rushing list with 12,276 yards, but only had 529 yards and two touchdowns last season with New Orleans and Arizona.

In his prime, Peterson was electric - winning MVP in 2012 after he finished with 2,097 rushing yards with the Minnesota Vikings. He spent nine years with Kansas City and last season with Denver.

Last season with Arizona, Peterson had two games in which he rushed for 293 yards, but in four others, he gained a combined 155.

If Marshall isn't ready to open the season, the Redskins might want another backup to third-down back Chris Thompson.
