Kelvin Benjamin Explains Why He Walked Away From Cam Newton During Confrontation

As fate would have it, the Panthers and Bills will meet Thursday night in Buffalo for their first preseason game.

He scored a first-quarter touchdown in the game against the Panthers, giving the Bills an early lead, then leaped into the stands to celebrate with Buffalo fans. "It was a bad fit from the get-go".

Benjamin subsequently walked away from Newton, and now he explained why he did that. Benjamin and Newton spoke on the field before the game in what looked like an awkward exchange. "Just moving on from it". Benjamin saved his best compliment for young Damiere Byrd, though.

Benjamin, who said he would have been more successful if he was drafted by Carolina and had a "quarterback with knowledge", brushed the encounter aside after Carolina won the preseason meeting 28-23.

Israeli air strikes 'kill woman and toddler'
Protests and clashes along the Gaza border since the end of March have seen at least 165 Palestinians killed by Israeli fire. Earlier on Wednesday, before the rocket fire, a Hamas official said these negotiations were in "advanced stages".

In an interview with The Athletic's Tim Graham last week, Benjamin was asked how his career has gone since his rookie season and the receiver said he wishes he'd been drafted by another team and wished for another quarterback.

Initially, Newton's only response, posted in a video to social media, was to say that he wasn't "gonna go back and forth with him" but continue to "work".

Ok Kelvin. I guess we'll see how AJ McCarron, Nathan Peterman and Josh Allen treat you this year, bud.
