Angela Merkel shares photo of ‘spontaneous’ meeting with Donald Trump, G7 leaders

Representatives of European Union countries at the G7 meeting in Quebec agreed that the conditions to readmit Russian Federation to the group of advanced economies were not yet met, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Friday. Merkel will meet new Italian Premier Giuseppe Conte for the first time at this week's Group of Seven summit in Canada.

The photo was posted on Twitter by Merkel's spokesman Steffen Seibert, crediting it to official German government photographer Jesco Denzel.
