Bethesda unveils first gameplay footage of Rage 2

Funnily, the press release mentions that this is an "AAAAAA" game because it involves two AAA developers. However, you are never alone in RAGE 2, as mutants and gangs lurk in dense foliage, and passing cars in open deserts are more likely mow you down than give you a ride. If Bethesda are anything to go by, we could see Rage 2 as early as this year.

Bethesda has blown the lid open on Rage 2 this afternoon with an action-packed gameplay trailer, offering an explosive first look at the id Software and Avalanche-developed sequel.

"An asteroid has annihilated 80% of the earth's population, and humanity's numbers are dwindling".

You play as the last Ranger, Walker, and you're going after many gangs as well as The Authority - an oppressive faction who took everything from Walker and left them for dead.

Rage 2 was officially confirmed yesterday when Bethesda revealed the first teaser trailer ahead of E3 2018. As of this writing, no platforms have been announced, but we can expect it to be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

She said the government would "defend our clear jurisdiction over interprovincial pipelines". Wilson-Raybould said Ottawa's view will prevail.

Also set to return are vehicles, which is why Avalanche Studios are probably the flawless developers for Rage 2: they have the ability to turn numerous original's weaknesses into strengths. Given their expertise with open-world games, we can assume Rage 2's world will be vast and full of interesting activities to partake in.

The trailer also shows us that many of Rage's best aspects will be carried into the sequel. It's hard to say anything is a guarantee for a game with a 2019 release date.

However, just because Rage 2 will not feature loot boxes doesn't mean that the game will not feature microtransactions, another business model that has also been criticized by some. But barring some colossal screw-up in development, Rage 2's gunplay will be incredible.

The gameplay trailer below sets things out pretty clearly, although the concept is not a complicated one even if you're not familiar with the 2011 original.
