Lok Adalat settles 74518 pending cases in TN

The Adalat, a bi-monthly exercise, was led by Justice Ramesh Ranganathan, the acting Chief Justice of Hyderabad High Court.

Lok Adalat is held once every two months to solve pending cases at the earliest as per the Supreme Court's order. Usually, the judge sits on a raised desk (bench) on an elevated platform form while hearing the cases.

MASLSA maintained that media play a valuable role in spreading information, awareness and attracting people to settle their disputes through Lok Adalat and the same is highly appreciated.

A total of 282 cases were settled in the National Lok Adalat organised at the civil court of the Palamu district in which settlement worth Rs 73.35 lakh was also reached.
