He earned his tour card previous year on the Web.com Tour, and lost a playoff to Jon Rahm in January in the CareerBuilder Challenge.

"I just completely misread it", Landry said. "Today was a grind".

Mullinax played the 17th hole agressively with his driver, leaving himself just a wedge over a bunker in to the green, but nerves showed as he chunked his second in to the bunker and ended up with a bogey to gift Landry a two-shot lead heading down the last.

Importantly for Baddeley however was that it further improved a recent run of solid form on the PGA Tour after what had been a slow start to the year. After two birdies and two bogeys on the front nine, Johnson caught fire on the back side, sinking 20-foot birdie putts at the par-4 11th and 15th holes and a 17-foot birdie putt at the par-5 14th as well as his closer at the par-5 18th.

Malindo flight skids off runway in Nepal, no casualties
The Nepal's only global airport remained closed Friday after the passenger plane attempting to take off skidded off the runway. Thousands of travellers have waited out the terminal when flights would resume, but it is perhaps not clear.

"I didn't even really think about it, to be honest with you", Landry said. "But I made it in the hole".

The closest he had come to a win previously was in January when he lost in a playoff to Jon Rahm at the CareerBuilder Challenge. He trailed Andrew Landry by one shot for much of the final round while racking up six birdies over his first 11 holes, but a pair of late miscues meant the former Alabama standout had to settle for a share of second place, two shots behind Landry.

After saving a par with an eight-foot putt at the fifth, Landry sent his tee shot at the sixth into a fairway bunker, but blasted onto the green and sank a 10-foot birdie putt. Landry hit a 55-foot putt over a ridge to 3 feet for par on 17 and made an 8-footer on 18 after running a 50-foot downhill birdie try past.

The 19 year old Chilean golfer birdied his final three holes to not only secure a big cheque but by finishing inside the top-10 earns the right to play the Wells Fargo Championship in two weeks and thus avoid having to use one of his permitted seven invites.
