Coachella 2018: Beyoncé reigns at 'Beychella'

Share

Beyonce cemented her superstar status with a second storming set at Coachella.

Beyonce's performance was almost identical to last weekend's, with the notable inclusion of special guest, Colombian powerhouse J Balvin, who joined her for Mi Gente.

It was the question on everyone's lips: could Beyoncé live up to last weekend's epic performance at Coachella? For her set with Rowland and Williams, the girls donned coordinating silver styles, while the "Single Ladies" singer wore a pink sequined pullover with thigh-high black boots for her "Déjà Vu" performance with husband Jay-Z.

Beyonce, 36, mixed up Saturday night's show by swapping last week's yellow outfits for pink ones.

Among the surprises was a duet with Colombian singer J Balvin, who joined her to sing "Mi Gente".

Actress Gabrielle Union was one of those to comment, writing on Twitter: "Beyonce".

The mother-of-three was hoisted on a crane to fly out over the audience to perform Drunk in Love, and a two-minute firework display concluded her final show.

Beyoncé managed to top all of the artists at Coachella last weekend with a standout headlining performance that gave us sparkly fashion, ace guest appearances, and a strong social-political message (she celebrated all things black pride).

She and Jay Z are also parents to six-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.
