Of the three Nokia phones already installed with Android Oreo, only the Nokia 8 has the stable version. Like the Nokia 6 (2018), it's also available in China only at this point in time. The Finnish OEM confirmed the update via Weibo, noting that the upgrade will offer a smoother experience, gesture controls, as well as all the rest of the bonus features we've come to expect from Oreo, and the January Android security patches. The latest development emerges days after the company Android Oreo Beta Labs for the original Nokia 6 in India.
The 2018 version of the Nokia 6 was just announced on January 5, and one of our biggest complaints was that the phone was shipping with 7.1.1 Nougat. The only difference between the two phones is screen size - the Nokia 7 sports a 5.2-inch screen with a Full HD resolution, while the Nokia 6 has a 5.5-inch screen with a Full HD resolution. The company took to Weibo and disclosed the news about the introduction of Android 8.0 Oreo update for the newly launched Nokia 6 and Nokia 7.
While the Nokia 6 (2018) will likely make its way to other markets outside of China later this year, the Nokia 7 is still exclusive to the country following its launch this past October.
