Mark Hamill Admits He Didn't Like His Character In "The Last Jedi"

Star Wars fans can run through the events of the series' original trilogy (and even its much-maligned prequel collection) easily, rattling off all the minute details leading up to Lucasfilm's sequel trilogy that kicked off with The Force Awakens, in which we learn that Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) previously opened a Jedi Academy and trained his nephew Ben Solo/Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) to be an expert fighter.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now playing in theaters everywhere.

Hamill's main complaint lies in Luke's mopey can't-do attitude, his daddy issues from the original trilogy effectively replaced by two-and-a-half hours of self-loathing in Episode 8.

Fisher also wrote a scene with Admiral Amilyn Holdo (Laura Dern) in which Leia says, "You go, I've said it enough", in reference to the much loved saying, "May The Force Be With You".

While this angered some, I was fine with it. Rey didn't need to be labeled as someone else's daughter, she's her own person.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi's" low audience score came as a surprise for many, considering how well the movie is performing at the box office globally. Maybe he's Jake Skywalker. Reading the comics, the extended universe, freaking out with the news of the prequels being made, getting a tattoo of the symbol of the Rebel Alliance and even naming my first born after one of the characters from the movies. But the Rian Johnson-directed space epic was never going to match the figures set by its gargantuan predecessor.

I can't even bring myself to use his name - I refer to him as the ex-footballer. "But I think that's down to the individual". Ryan Giggs , former Manchester United star, has been named as the new manager of the Football Association of Wales , FAW.

In "The Last Jedi", this plot device of misdirection is taken to a new extreme.

Mark Hamill's comments have only thrown more controversy into the online debates over the film. The Last Jedi also received very positive reviews, but there's been a lot of heated debate and division in the fan community over its content.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is now playing in theatres across the globe.

Before I get into the good stuff, let's start off with what I didn't like.

If you have not yet watched the movie, I do not suggest reading any further.

"The Last Jedi" had a near-record breaking opening and shows no sign of slowing down, raking in as much as Dollars 120 million between Wednesday and Monday alone. "I had to justify the choices I made to him. That meant he has to believe he's doing the right thing by removing the Jedi from the equation". If anyone can bring Star Wars to a new direction, it is Rian Johnson.
