The new Range Rover SV Coupe is incidentally the world's first full-size luxury SUV coupe, and it features a bold body design and exudes luxurious interior. The Range Rover SV Coupe pays homage to the original two-door Range Rover from 1970. It's likely to be priced well above even the most expensive four-door Range Rover, with prices pushing the £250,000 mark.

McGovern has previously hinted at the coupe's existence, suggesting journalists "write that down" when he referenced a two-door Range Rover variant during a Los Angeles motor show press conference.

Land Rover has released a teaser image of a new, ultra-exclusive addition to its range. Expect a hand-assembled interior that'll feature four huge leather seats, handstitched quilted fabrics and a wood finished centre console that'll stretch from the front to the rear of the vehicle.

There will be just four seats positioned either side of the centre console, with the front seats and dashboard finished in white leather and the rear in black leather. Each one of the 999 Range Rover SV Coupe's will be hand built by Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations division in Warwickshire in the UK.

Right now, though, we'll have to take Jaguar Land Rover's word for it that the exterior is sufficiently striking to make those promises accurate.

Sporadic gunfire is ongoing at the compound as authorities work to contain the situation, according to the latest local reports. A suicide bomber detonated his explosives at the gate of the compound at around 9 am local time (10.30 am Indian Standard Time).

More details are expected at the Geneva show, which runs from 8 to 18 March.

Land Rover will kick-off its 70th anniversary celebrations with the launch of the Range Rover SV Coupe. As such, it will be hand-assembled at the SV Technical Centre in Ryton-on-Dunsmore in the United Kingdom.

Certain elements of the "regular" Range Rover interior carry over, including the dual-screen infotainment system and rotary gear selector. Being previewed ahead of its full reveal at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show, the vehicle promises to epitomize both the origins of Land Rover seven decades ago, and its positioning as a tech-savvy brand today.

There is no official technical information regarding the SV Coupe, as they will be made available in March, at the Geneva event.
