HTC U11 EYEs with bezel-less display, dual front cameras launched

Just a few days ago word surfaced that HTC was planning on launching a new mid-range handset under the U11 brand.

The U11 EYES will go on sale later this month in China for the ¥2,999 (around $465), and will hit Taiwan on February for NT$14,900 ($505).

The U11 EYEs features the same liquid shiny design as other U11 handsets, including HTC's flagship U11+, which the firm released in November.

Engadget says HTC claims the U11 Eyes' camera can distinguish between a real human face and those shown on a photo or video.

The U11 EYEs is fitted with a Super LCD 3 display that measures 6 inches. The protective glass also changed a little bit.

HTC will sell the U11 EYEs in Hong Kong starting later this week for HK$3,898, about $500 Dollars, and is queued up for a release in China later this month. The biggest changes are in the power section. As mentioned above, the interesting thing about the phone is that it runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

Two girl students die in Maharashtra boat capsize

HTC has officially unveiled its HTC U11 EYEs, a variant of the U11 designed for those that love a good selfie.

Some of the notable differences between the regular model and the EYEs version are the fingerprint sensor location, bezels, and front-facing camera. They deliver live bokeh effect, which supports re-focus after capture. It also comes with beauty and AR stickers mode. This camera is capable of shooting fullHD slow motion video at 120FPS, while 4K video recording is also available, of course.

Unfortunately, the BoomSound speakers are gone, so the audio experience ensured by the HTC U11 Eyes won't be as great as it was in the case of the U11 Plus.

On the battery front, it has a 3930 mAh unit with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. There's just a ton of features that your inner teenager may appreciate.

The HTC U11 EYEs comes with a large 6-inch Full HD+ FullView display. We're not sure when it'll launch but it should be in the coming weeks. The new edition has stuck with the squeezable technology that enables owners to squeeze the sides of the device to launch the camera, use the voice assistant, open any app and take screenshots.
