76 undocumented immigrants, including 13 children, found in tractor-trailer in Texas

Investigators have not said what will happen to them.

On Monday, the Border Patrol announced arrests of two other Dreamers in California for separate smuggling incidents.

A second suspect, a 25-year-old USA citizen, was later also arrested in connection with the alleged smuggling scheme. The big-rig drivers risk their freedom, and undocumented immigrants risk their lives.

Three men were inside the vehicle. His 22-year-old cousin, a Mexican national also illegally in the country, but not a DACA recipient, was in the passenger seat.

The 20-year-old driver is being held in Federal custody, according to CBP. Shortly after arresting two illegal aliens Thursday, agents followed two suspicious vehicles and conducted an immigration inspection.

The former DACA recipient told border agents he had been involved in human smuggling on the area, officials said.

Negotiations for a new DACA deal, which would effect roughly 800,000 immigrants brought to the US illegally as children, were also at the center of the recent federal government shutdown.

During the incident Border Patrol agents found dozens of undocumented immigrants including unaccompanied children.

In two separate incidents, Border Patrol agents arrested two men present in the United States under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) executive order for their involvement in human smuggling incidents on January 24 and 25, 2018. Agents also discovered that the man had successfully participated in alien smuggling on multiple occasions.

The suspect, who was not identified, is in Department of Homeland Security custody pending deportation, according to KUSI News in San Diego.
