On December 7 and 8, 2012, Monument Academy drama students performed two incredible shows of the classic play “A Christmas Carol.”

With 25 students cast, and a crew of 19 on board, MA Drama Director Jeremy Holtrop staged a unique adaptation of this classic, which follows the life of Ebenezer Scrooge on Christmas Eve, and on Christmas Day.

“My goal, with each show I pick, is to challenge MA drama students above and beyond their previous acting capabilities. We worked a lot on getting students to display a variety of emotions - and added on the difficulty of speaking in British accents. This was our most challenging drama production yet, but the MA drama students rose to it and exceeded my expectations, and I am proud of each one of them!” said Holtrup.
