Even though Dallas owns a 3-2 record through the first five games, the Dallas Cowboys are always battling sky-high expectations. If Prescott bumped his value during Dallas' winning streak, do those millions become nullified due to this losing skid? In reviewing the 34-24 loss to Green Bay on Monday, team chief operating officer Stephen Jones confirmed the Cowboys' head coach isn't on any kind of hot seat.
The Dallas Cowboys started the season 3-0 versus the Giants, Redskins, and Dolphins - the latter two teams are winless, while NY only won a pair of games after making a QB switch (and one of the two wins is versus Washington). I remember very early on when I was first involved in the National Football League and with the Cowboys, we didn't want to spend anything, and we didn't want to get bent out of shape over a kicker because we usually thought if it comes down to the kicker to win a game, that we weren't going to do it. "It's not impacting that with me at all", Jones said.
He also had an interception in the end zone scrubbed by two defensive penalties on the same play. He was held without a TD pass in Week 4 and tossed three interceptions in Week 5 - both losses to elite opponents.
After three games Prescott had accumulated 920 passing yards and 9 touchdowns while completing 74.5% of his throws, and firmly placed himself in the early MVP discussion.
"Don't bet any money [on] that happening", Jones said. "You do well against teams that are getting it together". We know we're a good team and I'm not taking that away or saying we're not.
As of this writing, the Cowboys and Prescott remain at odds in months-long extension talks.
Mass arrests as protesters cause havoc
Protester Elle van Zeeland told Dutch broadcaster NOS that the group is "staying here until the government meets its obligations". Supporters of the Extinction Rebellion movement block a road at the Potsdamer Platz square in Berlin .
In many ways, Prescott's current situation is similar to the scenario Joe Flacco found himself in 2012 when he led the Baltimore Ravens to victory in Super Bowl XLVII in the final year of his rookie deal.

"He is tough", Jones said.
But there were a few instances where Jerry was encouraged by Dak's effort.
Not much has gone right for the Jets through the season's first quarter. "As you saw yesterday, he had this team playing hard when on a lot of teams that game could've gotten real ugly when it was (31-3)". Let me get that really clear. The momentum is going the other way so to speak. "But to have it on every play and to have it at the will of the coach to make those calls, to have it done that way, it's not as succinct as I like to see officiating".
