This allowed for showers and thunderstorms to develop this afternoon, providing some relief for a few of us.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms comes in on Thursday as a big weather system approaches. High temperatures will work their way above average as they reach the lower 80s for northern Kentucky and middle 80s for southern Kentucky. Highs again will be in the mid-60s Tuesday, but will get into the low 70s Wednesday and will remain in the low to mid-70s into Friday. Northeast wind around 5 miles per hour.

Thu: High: 64 Low: 62 AM showers, then mostly cloudy and windy.

Tue: High: 73 Low: 49 Sunny and breezy. Additional chances for widely scattered showers return in the afternoon, mainly for the southern half of the state.
