Chhichhore remains strong on all days of its first week and bagged a total first-week collection of ₹ 66.75 crores. As per the trade analysts, the leak may affect the box office collection. After entertaining with "high on content" films like Vicky Donor, Badhaai Ho and Article 15 among others, his latest film Dream Girl is keeping the cash registers ringing. The budget of the film was less and the collection has gone in a very decent fashion at the box office that surprised many. Ayushmann Khurrana's "Dream Girl" released on September 13 and has already earned Rs 44. Chhichhore has got tough competition from the day of release from the major movie Saaho that is still dominating the box office but somehow with its fantastic performance, Chhichhore managed to make a superior position for itself at the box office. After opening at a whopping Rs 10.05 crore, it had shown a growth of around 63% on Saturday with collections of Rs 16.42 crore.
Dream Girl has emerged as Ayushmann Khurrana's biggest opening weekend grosser to date. "I have no intention to hurt anyone but, at the same time, I want the audience to enjoy the situation of what happens when a man speaks in a woman's voice as a call centre employee", said Raaj who has earlier contributed as a screenplay and dialogue writer in films such as "Bhaiaji Superhit", "Bhoomi", "Freaky Ali" and "Welcome Back".
