Kliff Kingsbury has hilarious reaction to Antonio Brown's helmet controversy

Brown's Schutt Air Advantage helmet is no longer allowed because the NFL follows the National Athletic Equipment Reconditioners Association policy, according to which helmets 10 years or older can not be recertified. Brown's specific helmet is over 10 years old and the model is no longer made by the company, so it is not now certified by the NOCSAE.

Brown conceded his battle with the league on Monday afternoon in a social media post, but it's fair to wonder if he hasn't already figured out a way to kick the can down the road another year.

Brown tweeted about the decision Monday afternoon, focusing on the upcoming season.

Brown has not been practicing recently because of injuries to his feet reportedly caused or worsened when he wore improper footwear during a cryotherapy treatment. I'm excited. I've got some plays for him. Brown has reportedly on three occasions attempted to wear the helmet at practice after being told by the team he's not allowed to.

Jeffrey Epstein's NY jail was short-staffed
On Monday, Marlene Schiappa, France's gender equality minister, had demanded an investigation into Epstein's affairs in France. An autopsy was performed Sunday, but the city's chief medical examiner said investigators were awaiting further information.

On Tuesday morning, Brown took to Twitter to try to find such a helmet.

You know, the one he painted in an effort to sneak it into Raiders practice. "It doesn't make any sense".

Raiders coach Jon Gruden defended Brown over the weekend, but it remains unclear when he will be back with the franchise. "I can't say I agree with all of them, certainly", Gruden said after the Raiders' 14-3 preseason victory over the L.A. Rams. "My last helmet, I wore in four Super Bowls, so it was a pretty great helmet for me, and I hated to put it on the shelf, but that was what they said to do, so I'm dealing with it and working with something else". This was a total accident.

It's probably in Brown's best interest to just drop the helmet thing now so he can get used to a new, safer one sooner rather than later.
