Cardi B Concert Suddenly Canceled Over "Threat" Against The Rapper

A Cardi B concert scheduled for Indianapolis Tuesday night was called off less than an hour before showtime, with the performer and her management citing a "security threat" as the reason.

"This was at 5:36pm I wonder around what time I got drunk?lols", she captioned another image.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department later confirmed it is investigating the incident.

Cardi was inside the venue for soundcheck prior to the show, and posted a message to her fans after the announcement, issuing a heartfelt apology. The concert has now been rescheduled to September 11. "My safety and your safety first", Cardi tweeted.

IMPD added that there is no immediate threat to public safety, nor is there an active incident. "Additional details will follow", the venue wrote.

The superstar, who has a one-year-old daughter with her husband, the rapper Offset, also posted a screenshot of a statement from the show's promoters Mammoth Live saying the concert had been postponed due to "a security threat and safety concerns". The statement read in full: "Due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, tonight's Cardi B performance at Bankers Life Fieldhouse has been postponed".
