DeMarcus Cousins moves to the Los Angeles Lakers

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Miami Heat had interest in Cousins, but several Lakers players, including Davis, convinced him on playing in Los Angeles. We can't thank you enough for the love and support we experienced over the previous year. "Thank you #WeTheNorth. Stay tuned for another episode with more details".

Wojnarowski tweeted: "Free agent center DeMarcus Cousins has agreed to a one-year deal with the Lakers, agent Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports tells ESPN".

While in a holding pattern awaiting Kawhi Leonard's free agency decision, the Lakers missed out on the carousel of National Basketball Association point guards over the last week.

He suffered an achilles injury and denied a massive contract to resign with the Pelicans to try to get an NBA Finals ring with the Golden State Warriors.

Now I have to be focused on the second half of the season. If somebody feels offended, I will say sorry. Open and got kicked out of that tournament.

The Lakers were spurned by superstar forward Kawhi Leonard, who chose to not join James andDavis and to sign with their cross-arena rival, the Los Angeles Clippers. He signed with the Warriors in the summer of 2018 for drastically less money, $5.3 million for one year.

Rondo, meanwhile, reportedly returns to the Lakers for just $2.6m.

Green started 80 games for the National Basketball Association champion Toronto Raptors last season, averaging 10.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. The deal contains a second year with a player option.

Ball has since been traded to New Orleans, and while Rondo is back, he is probably better suited as a reserve at this point in his career.
