Chapman solicited prayers Sunday on his official Facebook page f or his wife, who has been placed in a medically induced coma as she battles cancer.

Chapman was first diagnosed with stage two throat cancer in September 2017.

"Damn. Terrible news. Used to love watching Dog and Beth tear it up in Hawaii. She's now with Jesus I'm praying for your family may God give you comfort", wrote one Twitter user.

Chapman was hospitalized in Honolulu Friday after having difficulty breathing and passing out momentarily.

She was then placed into a medically-induced coma.

Beth Chapman's daughter Bonnie Chapman has taken to Twitter to defend her mom following her death.

"I've already been cuffed and shackled by Beth anyway", he told The Associated Press at the time. She passed away at the age of 51. When she went to his office to pick up some legal paperwork, she knew that Dog was the man for her. A spinoff, Dog and Beth: On the Hunt, later aired for three seasons. Some of her health struggles were documented in the show.

"Sorry, that's just not for me", she continued.

There are 12 children between the couple.

In 2007, Hawaii lawmakers honored the couple for their work capturing criminals.

In 2017 after Beth's cancer diagnosis, they returned to reality TV for a two-hour special called Dog and Beth: Fight of Their Lives. "I'll have to go home and get my Wonder Woman outfit". Since the original bounty-hunting show was canceled, the success of it still prompted spin-offs. In 2016, she was elected President of the Professional Bail Agents of the United States. Despite the challenge, Beth put on a happy face and did her best to stay optimistic while undergoing chemotherapy. Although Dog said the reports were gravely exaggerated and asked fans to continue praying for his lady love, sadly there was truth to the rumors. Her stepdaughter, Lyssa Chapman, later broke the record at 19.
