The Red Devils saw their chances of securing a top four spot in the 2018/19 EPL campaign end after playing to a 1-1 draw against relegated Huddersfield Town on Sunday afternoon.

Speaking at his post-match media conference, Solskjaer is hoping Manchester United can use the Europa League as a positive next term.

"We are not in the Champions League but I think that is a true reflection".

"We didn't perform to the required level, and though we are all disappointed not to be in the Champions League next season". United aren't going to go from here and win the title in the next 12 to 18 months or two years.

Solskjaer was given the job on a permanent basis less than six weeks ago on the back of winning 14 of his first 17 games in charge.
