Apex Legends is kicking off Season One tomorrow at 10:00am PT, and a representative for Respawn has confirmed over on Reddit that the new legend, Octane, will also be available at launch alongside the Battle Pass.

Rumors of Octane's existence have circulated around the internet for a while now, and today developer Respawn Entertainment confirms he's the first new character debuting in the hero-based battle royale title. His Adrenaline Junkie ability lets him trade health for speed and his Launch Pad Ultimate Ability lets his squad fly through the air. The bundle gets you the first 25 levels for free! There are over 100 rewards up for grabs throughout the season.

Free rewards are also on offer, with everyone who plays Apex Legends season 1 getting...

The Battle Pass costs 950 Apex Coins in the in-game shop.

Players can earn a Battle Pass progression bonus, however, by playing a variety of different characters, rather than focusing on one or two, "because we believe true mastery in Apex Legends means being a badass with anyone in any situation at any time", lead product manager Lee Horn wrote.

Raonic ends Kecmanovic’s dream run, reaches Indian Wells semis
When Andreescu was broken by Kerber early in the deciding set it seemed her remarkable week looked set to end in disappointment. Thiem is through to the semi-finals at Indian Wells for the first time, having reached the quarters once before in 2017.

The Battle Pass will go for 950 Apex coins on its own-about $10-or in a Battle Pass Bundle for 2800 Apex coins that catapults you to level 25 from the start. Players will also receive three Wild Frontier-themed Legend skins immediately when they purchase the pass: these are the Lifeline Revolutionary, Wraith Survivor and the Mirage Outlaw skins.

Purchasing the Apex Legends Battle Pass will instantly rewards players with a number of skins.

Season 1 of Apex Legends is finally coming.

This will be good news for budget-minded players, as essentially you'll only have to purchase the Battle Pass once, and then you can use the currency to keep funding future Battle Passes - assuming the pricing never changes.
