The leak was spread out from Evan Blass which posted a video in his Twitter account how a new, foldable Android tablet with two bendable side panels that fold back behind the central area. ET News sources reported in July of a year ago that Xiaomi was developing an "out folding" phone with plans to release it someday in 2019. Other than that, the video does not show anything about the hardware because it is shot in the dark. Earlier previous year, ET News had reported that Xiaomi was developing an "outfolding" phone with plans to release it sometime in 2019. A few comments on the tweet related to the behavior of the app on screen i.e. how it is rightly scaled when the device is unfolded and folded also complement the fact that the video might not be a hoax. And if it is, Xiaomi might just have a solid looker here.
Xiaomi typically excels at budget devices, regardless of its internals. In July, ET News claimed Xiaomi was working on an "outfolding" phone which would be released in 2019. There are pretty high chances that the foldable phone showcased in the video could be from Xiaomi because the icons on the device appear to be quite similar to that of Xiaomi's MIUI.

Nevertheless, it is too early to say anything. Yesterday saw what may be the latest of those leaks, with the normally reliable Evan Blass sharing what is said to be a video of an as-yet unannounced Xiaomi device. The clip, a bit janky and dimly lit, shows no more details beyond the display.
