The video is full of brief flashes of sinister looking text that I'm sure right now, a legion of nerds are poring over for every possible clue.

The news was announced on Twitter just as the clocks turned over to the new year on Monday night and we already love this year more than 2018.

However, there were some stark differences in how the final product functioned when compared with Nintendo's releases. The games will be coming out across the month of January, and include Steep and Portal Knights alongside other games.

The streaming service is set to release the third season of the horror/science fiction hit July 4.

By watching the aforementioned code, one can make out the following enigmatic message at the 14-second mark: "When blue and yellow meet in the west".

The new season also got its first official poster, which finds our young protagonists taking in a fireworks display on America's 209th birthday, a brightly-lit amusement park/carnival shining in the distance.

The season is expected to open with Suzy, Do You Copy? and lead to an episode called The Case Of The Missing Lifeguard, which hints that people from Hawkins are still being lost in the Upside Down.
