Elizabeth Warren starts campaign to unseat Trump in 2020

Elizabeth Warren has taken the next step toward a presidential run by forming an exploratory committee.

"How did we get here?" she asked rhetorically. "And they enlisted politicians to cut them a bigger slice".

"No matter where you live in America or no matter where your family came from in the world, you deserve a path to opportunity", Warren continues in the new political video. Liz Warren only won there by 24, and keep in mind that 2018 was a much better year for Democrats nationwide. Even they don't want her.

She's not the first to launch an exploratory committee, which legally allows a candidate to start raising money.

Warren announced her candidacy plans in an email to supporters, according to The New York Times.

Warren's possible strength in what will be a crowded contest includes her track record of speaking to economic concerns. In that case, conservatives should hope that Warren is not the Democrats' nominee.

"Our government is supposed to work for all of us, but instead it has become a tool for the wealthy and well-connected", Warren said. "What I've found is terrifying".

In a video released on her social media platforms Monday morning, Warren laid out her promise to fight for middle-class working families. "We can and we will". She could run as a moderate or pragmatic Sanders-lite, but in its extreme opposition to President Donald Trump, the far-left Democratic base is the most active and is unlikely to coalesce around a moderate candidate.

The announcement itself is in no way surprising-though as The Washington Post notes, the timing (on New Year's Eve) is somewhat curious.

In 2017 former Democratic congressman John Delaney of Maryland announced he would seek the party's nomination.

An image she posted on Instagram carried the caption "12.23.18", which is reported to be the date of the wedding. Rumours swirled this christmas with miley cyrus and liam hemsworth going completely silent from social media.

Warren is the most prominent Democrat yet to make a move toward a presidential bid and has always been a favorite target of President Trump. Most voters will likely be surprised to learn she's only eight years younger than Sanders. Edward M. Kennedy and become the first female senator from MA.

A Quinnipiac University poll earlier this month showed independents had a negative impression of Warren, with 41 per cent viewing her unfavourably and 24 per cent viewing her favourably.

Former vice president Joe Biden: The former vice president has been rumored to be announcing his bid for the 2020 presidential race.

A November poll found 89 percent of MA voters didn't pick Warren to be their candidate.

Warren has arguably been approaching this campaign more aggressively than any major figure.

"America's middle class is under attack", Warren says on the website's video. She married at age 19 and moved to Texas, where she finished her undergraduate studies at the University of Houston.

She has frequently faced attacks from the White House and Republicans over whether she used claims of native ancestry to advance her career.

Warren considered running for president in 2016 but ultimately decided against it. Warren discusses her life growing up in Oklahoma where her mother worked a minimum wage job and her introduction into politics, when she helped President Barack Obama establish the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau after the 2008 financial crisis.

Until she was in her 40s, Warren was a registered Republican. Too damaged by the mere association with the "People's Republic" of MA?
