Blowing snow will still be expected during the afternoon and evening of Saturday and wind will die down by early Sunday.

Snow accumulations of up to 1 inch are possible, as well as ice accumulations of around one-tenth of an inch, according to the National Weather Service.

Ferguson Township is reminding residents that street parking is prohibited when 2 or more inches of snow are anticipated, and that residents are expected to clear sidewalks within 24 hours of any snow or ice accumulation.

A large storm system will hit eastern Idaho starting Wednesday night until late Thursday or early Friday, depending on your area.

Some rugged winter conditions are expected for much of western NY and the Finger Lakes heading into the weekend, and lasting into the first part of next week.

The National Weather Service said that "hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute". This will likely begin as snow developing Saturday afternoon, then snow possibly heavy at times Saturday night into Sunday.

The first storm will move in from the Midwest Thursday night into Friday morning.

Behind the departing system Sunday, the weather service warns that much colder air will be ushered in southward across the region.

Arctic air will move into the area and remain in place Monday, when high temperatures will only reach the teens and gusty northwest winds could keep wind chill temperatures below zero, according to the NWS forecast.
