Wolves saw their three-match winning run come to an end after goals in either half from Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.

His finish against Wolves was classy, meeting Fabinho's low cross from the right byline with a first-time flick with the outside of his left foot.

Salah opened the scoring against Wolves in style. At this stage, he had 14 goals.

After the game with Wolves, Klopp hailed Van Dijk for his assured display and claimed that he thinks he is an even better player than he thought.

Klopp had rotated his squad ahead of the festive fixtures with Georginio Wijnaldum starting on the bench and Jordan Henderson given the start in central midfield while Adam Lallana made an appearance in the second half as a substitute for the injured Naby Keita.
