Emmanuel Macron tells Saudi prince worldwide experts needed in Khashoggi murder investigation

The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) sent at least 11 messages to Saoud al-Qahtani, his closest adviser who oversaw the team that killed Jamal Khashoggi, in the hours before and after the journalist's death in October, according to a highly classified Central Intelligence Agency assessment seen by a USA newspaper.

MBS is expected to meet with just a few leaders at the summit in Buenos Aires, including Putin.

The US president cancelled a formal sit-down with Mr Putin at the summit in Argentina over Moscow's seizure of Ukrainian vessels.

Mrs May's presence at the talks between world leaders is likely to be dominated by the issue of Brexit and the UK's future global trade as it prepares to leave the European Union in March 2019.

It is also alleged that Prince Mohammed had spoken in August 2017 of "making arrangements" to lure him to a foreign country if he could not be returned to Saudi Arabia.

"He adds: "However, out of respect for the Bush Family and former President George H.W. Bush we will wait until after the funeral to have a press conference".

The meeting consisted of two sessions.
