Ariana Grande isn't going to let Pete Davidson define their relationship and breakup and she planned to release her new song, Thank You, Next before "Saturday Night Live" on which she mentioned his name in the lyrics. "She's a wonderful, strong person, and I genuinely wish her all of the happiness in the world".
The title of the track references the several days of drama between Grande and Davidson that preceded it, stemming from a promo that Davidson appeared in for Saturday's "SNL" episode last week, in which he jokingly proposed to musical guest Maggie Rogers. Despite the fact her successful album Sweetener was released in August, the songstress is already in the studio working on her next. She sings "Even nearly got married / To Pete I'm so thankful".
USA sending up to 5,200 troops to border with Mexico
The U.S. military has already begun delivering jersey barriers to the southern border in conjunction with the deployment plans. His experience with the caravan had taught him one thing, he said: "The next time, I'm going to need a 'coyote, '" or smuggler.
In the song, she sings about her new love - "Ari" - and says "She taught me love, she taught me patience".
The chorus of "Thank U, Next" is "I'm so f--ing grateful for my ex".
As the synthesized track continues, the "God Is A Woman" Grande shares how although the relationships didn't work out, she learned life lessons about love, whether shared with the men in her life or within herself.
"Thank U, Next" is an absolute bop!
