Emery's impact puts Arsenal rebuild ahead of schedule

They are still undefeated in the Premier league but the draw against North London side Arsenal last weekend meant that Liverpool dropped two points from a winning position.

"[We are] very disappointed really, which is a good thing I suppose, playing away at Arsenal".

Emery said: "We need every player".

Speaking on Monday Night Football, Carragher has outlined his belief that Liverpool will only be able to win the Premier League if City lose focus in the second half of the season as the Citizens look to win their first European Cup.

This staggering tally of goals in unbeaten games has stretched a whopping 16 years for five clubs - Liverpool, Man City, Aston Villa, Newcastle, and Leeds - dating back to 2002 when he bagged his first goal for Leeds at the tender age of just 16.

It can be argued that Liverpool deserved the victory due to Sadio Mane's wrongly disallowed goal in the first half, along with a raft of missed opportunities for Virgil van Dijk.

Liberated by the phenomenal Lucas Torreira alongside him, Xhaka was as dynamic and destructive as he has been in an Arsenal shirt.

"It's nice because he is happy to learn and we always have fun together".

"We are giving extra intensity and you can see the manager demands a lot not just in games but on the training pitch and it is paying off", said midfielder Alex Iwobi.

However, Emery's rapid progress suggests Arsenal are well-placed to challenge for a return to the Champions League next season after finishing 12 points off the top four in Wenger's final campaign.

I'm impressed how quickly they have improved under Unai Emery and given they haven't lost since the second match of the season, Liverpool shouldn't dismiss going back home with a result.

"We changed it at half time and he was the right person to score the goal".
