Destiny 2 is free right now on PC through Battle.net

The game will now be fully-playable on PC for free via Battle.net until November 18. During this period of time, Battle.net users can claim Bungie's shared-world sci-fi shooter to own. However, if you haven't played Destiny 2 and want to give it a go on PC, now's your chance! This does not, of course, include the Forsaken expansion, but it includes all of the content up to that point. Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg announced that Destiny 2 PC will be exclusive.

Now that Black Ops 4 and Red Dead Redemption 2 are both out, I'm sure Destiny 2's player count is shrinking, and that spells potential losses for any service game.

Eagles acquire WR Golden Tate from Lions
The 30-year-old Tate was the Lions' leading receiver this year with 44 grabs for 517 yards and three scores. The Lions lost 28-14 to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, dropping their record to 3-4 on the season.

"Starting today through November 18, Destiny 2 is going to be free to all Battle.net players", Cotton confirmed, and it'll be free to keep once you've claimed it - you just need to grab it before the window shuts.

It's a pretty surprising and generous move, but a cunning one, with the game in its best-ever condition and two major rivals - Anthem and the Division 2 - due to launch in the first quarter of next year. Hopefully we'll see the Xbox One version of Destiny 2 be free for awhile too. Destiny base games are typically locked out of expansion-only rotating missions, events, and strikes, so you may not be able to join your friends in the fray.
