The 26-year-old singer was hospitalised twice in the last few weeks for a low white blood cell count, a side effect from the kidney transplant she underwent last year. She requested to go home but when doctors insisted she stay, Gomez reportedly launched into a "meltdown" and "freaked out", ripping IVs out of her arm.

The troubled singer reportedly checked into a facility on the east coast where she is undergoing dialectical behaviour therapy, which treats mental health disorders.

Selena Gomez has had a very tough and emotional past few weeks.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Gomez was hospitalized after enduring tremendous stress over the state of her medical condition, which includes a battle with lupus.
