Browns finally decide to cut ties with Josh Gordon

So while an 0-16 no longer wants Gordon after putting up with his troubles for six years, there's a handful of other teams that will happily accept his talent.

When the Cleveland Browns shockingly announced they'd be releasing Josh Gordon on Monday, fans everywhere had the same question on their minds: why?

Gordon was late to the facility today, Rapoport reported.

According to a tweet from ESPN's Adam Schefter, Gordon hurt his hamstring at a promotional shoot, not at practice, per a source. "We wish Josh well".

It is not yet clear what the breaking point was, but general manager John Dorsey says the organization has "reached a point where we feel it's best to part ways and move forward".

The 27-year-old receiver has had a tumultuous career in the National Football League filled with highs and lows.

Spain humiliate Croatia with thumping Nations League win
Madrid will be looking to preserve their 100 per cent record after four matches when they visit Athletic Bilbao on Saturday. Spain have now won both of their opening UEFA Nations League games and on this evidence will take some stopping in League A.

Gordon was ruled out for the Saints game on Saturday due to a hamstring injury despite no mention of the issue on the injury report during the week.

Gordon had just rejoined the team on August 18.

Multiple violations of the NFL's policy on substances of abuse sidelined Gordon for most of his pro career since the Browns drafted him in the second round in 2012.

Gordon ended up as the only Browns' receiver to catch a touchdown in Week 1, and he made a spectacular play against the Steelers to tie the game, so his ability to impact a game is still one center stage.

The Browns announced in mid August that Gordon finally had reported.

Now it's any guess what the next step might be for him and whether another team is willing to bring him on board.
