Execs Think LeBron James Has Chosen Lakers, 'Indecision Is All Theater'

Also, LeBron is looking for a team where he can control every aspect, from player personnel, minutes, and play calling.

The option was part of a two-year, $21 million deal signed last July. James flew from the Caribbean island of Anguilla and landed in Van Nuys just after 11 a.m. PT.

The most likely destinations are the LA Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, and possibly, back to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Among those choices, Philadelphia feels like a distant third.

"We don't have that much experience with Joel and I and some of the younger people on our team and guys like that". I think that he needs a father during that time and that's it.

This could be the last big free agent contract of his career.

Goodbye, Geoffrey: Toys R Us closing its last stores
In the UK, Toys R Us shut its final locations in April, but watching the animal waving goodbye really marks an end of an era. We chose to visit the icon toy store one last time before it closed its doors forever.

James would certainly be that star.

It was James' eighth consecutive Finals appearance, a remarkable feat not matched since Hall of Famer Bill Russell and a handful of Celtics did it in the 1960s. The meeting will be led by the Sixers' ownership group. But Cleveland's roster is in need of an overhaul, and the Cavaliers are in the hard situation of having to convince James they will continue to improve without knowing if he will be back.

It only gets more wild from there though as a fan posted video appeared to show James' vehicle, closely tailed by a black van carrying his luggage. Before he joined the Heat, James had meetings with the Bulls, Knicks, Nets and Clippers, where team representatives pitched the All-Star with personalized presentations and marketing plans. The Indiana University product excelled for the Lakers' G League affiliate but averaged 1.5 points and 1.1 rebounds in 15 appearances for Los Angeles. As of 12:01 a.m. today, James was an unrestricted free agent, and agent Rich Paul is expected to contact several teams with the Lakers and Cavs atop his list.

But the Cavaliers were swept by the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals earlier this month and James makes no secret of wanting to play on a team that can challenge the Warriors, winners of three titles in four seasons, for NBA crowns. He has a couple of homes in Los Angeles and often spends his summers in Southern California. George, a Palmdale native, also became a free agent this week and has been linked to the Lakers.

However, the decision to snub the Cavs may be keeping in tune with reports he does not want to sit through elaborate pitches from franchises wishing to recruit him.

In regards to George, it is unclear how quickly he'll make a decision on his next team.
