Chelsea confirm Antonio Conte's sacking with terse statement

Despite winning the Premier League title and the FA Cup in his two seasons in charge, the 48-year-old leaves Stamford Bridge after several fallings out with the club's board.

Conte leaves amid reports in the British and Italian media that former Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri will take over at Chelsea for next season.

Chelsea have officially announced the departure of Antonio Conte from the Premier League club. "In the title winning season, the club set a then-record 30 wins in a 38-game season".

"We wish Antonio every success in his future career".

The former Juventus manager has been teetering on the brink at Stamford Bridge over the past few months but the Blues hadn't made an announcement about his future at the west London club.

But their priority is to see that families are reunited "in a manner that ensures the safety of the child"-which can take time". Federal officials that they had reunited four families so far, with an additional 34 reunions scheduled by the day's end.

Juventus' recent dominance of the Italian top flight was nearly ended by Sarri's swashbuckling Napoli side last season. Conte's relationship with Chelsea's hierarchy was strained after disagreements over their transfer policy last season.

Terry took to social platform Instagram to post a picture of himself and Conte together with the Premier League title and captioned it with the words: "Thank You Boss".

Napoli are also expecting compensation of around £4.5million for Sarri, who is under contract even though he is no longer their coach.

"Jorginho joining Chelsea does not depend on Sarri [joining Chelsea]", Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, said this week.

Under Sarri's tutelage, Dries Mertens has been transformed into one of the continent's most potent attacking threats, the Belgian scoring a whopping 56 goals in the last two seasons for the free-flowing Partenopei.
