The White House says Melania Trump won't join her husband when he heads to the Camp David presidential retreat for the weekend.

Mrs. Trump was last seen in public on May 10.

US First Lady Melania Trump was not seen in public for more than 20 days after a hospital operation. Four days later, she was hospitalized and stayed at a Water Reed Medical Center for five days. Her absence from public events raised quite a few concerns in the minds of Americans.

"I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I'm doing".

Melania also planned her first state dinner for 100 guests when the French president visited the White House, and then announced her "Be Best" campaign in early May in the Rose Garden.

OK, but that still does't explain why she can't go outside. "Most of us don't even know cursory information about her - I would bet most people don't even know her home country".

But critics noted that the tweet carried the hallmarks of a statement written not by Melania, but by Donald Trump, including his popular phrase "the media is working overtime", which he has said a number of times but Melania has not said publicly.

The spokesperson for Mrs. Trump, Stephanie Grisham, confirmed her appearance to CNN Sunday evening.

Ivanka, who serves as a senior advisor to her father, opted for brown, wide-legged trousers and a white blouse for the plane ride, completing her look with stilettos and oversized sunglasses.

A CNBC reporter tweeted last week: 'Not that this will deter the conspiracy theorists, but I saw the First Lady walking with her aides in the West Wing yesterday afternoon'. The reception is not open to the press, the White House added.

She hasn't tweeted since May 30.
