Bourdain, whose career catapulted him from washing dishes at NY restaurants to dining in Vietnam with former United States president Barack Obama, took his own life in a hotel room near Strasbourg, France earlier in June. Only trace amounts of "a non-narcotic medicine in a therapeutic dose" were found in his system. Christian de Rocquigny, a police lieutenant in Paris, France, said to the New York Times on Friday that they never found any illegal substances in his body.

Bourdain candidly talked about using heroin, cocaine, crack, and methadone while trying to make it in the culinary world in New York City. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly hard time'.

Bourdain, who is survived by daughter Ariane Bourdain, 11, said at the time of her arrival with second wife Ottavia Busia: "I began making some major changes in my life".

Bourdain was cremated in France a few days after his death.

LeBron James: Four reasons why he must choose the Houston Rockets

There were questions whether the celebrity chef, author, and CNN host had drugs in his system at the time of his death.

Bourdain has appeared as a guest judge on Top Chef on numerous occasions, while his own shows No Reservations and Parts Unknown where beloved by fans. He was filming an upcoming episode of "Parts Unknown" on CNN when chef Eric Ripert discovered him unresponsive.

Season eleven of the popular series premiered last month, with Bourdain winning a Peabody Award in 2013 for the show. One of those celebrities was Anthony's girlfriend, Asia Argento - one of the most vocal accusers of Harvey Weinstein.
